Join us for an exclusive conversation with Grey and UNACEM Cemento Sol, for a behind the scenes look at how a cement company helped millions of people with visual impairments to find venues with complete independence.
In collaboration with the biggest visually impaired organizations, Grey and Sol Cement developed a new tactile vocabulary, titled “Sightwalks,” that enhances the navigation experience of the current system. These tactile signs allow visually impaired individuals to determine what venue or service, like a bank or restaurant, is at their side, simply by counting tactile lines with their guide canes.
Sightwalks has set the standard for inclusivity in design, resulting in a long-term , open sourced, commitment project opening the discussion on a global level on the need of more inclusive cities around the globe. Taking home a Grand Prix in Design, 8 additional Lions, and impacted the independence for millions.
