Renowned Mexican showrunner, director, and screenwriter Alejandro has over 20 years of experience in the audiovisual industry, excelling in both film and television across various genres. He has directed more than 15 series, including "Control Z" for Netflix (2019-2021), which was viewed in over 20 million households and ranked in the Top 10 in more than 60 countries. He also served as showrunner for "La viuda negra," "Rosario Tijeras," and "Amar a muerte." His series "Sr. Ávila" for HBO Latin America won an International Emmy Award.
In film, he has made his mark with five feature films. He directed "Matando Cabos" (2004), the year's highest-grossing film and a winner of the audience award at the MTV Movie Awards. "Sultanes del Sur" established him as a leading action director, and "El Santos vs La Tetona Mendoza" (2012) was the first Mexican animated film invited to the Annecy Festival. In 2022, he released "Matando Cabos 2: La Máscara del Máscara," and in 2023.
